COMPOST COMPOSITIONS & FRACTAL FORMS
Overall the works are about perishability and growth. How demolition can be an opportunity to growth. How, when something falls apart, new forms of growth emerge, and a landscape of juxtaposed asynchronous moments arises characterized by a kind of recycling memory. How to use impermanence and decay as material and immaterial values.
The monochromatic works is an attempt to crystalize nature’s underlying structures; natural fractals, which are characterized by gradually erosion by wind, water, or other natural agents. In a similar way the compost compositions is a way to visualize a lived infrastructure; a system of waste, decay and recycling focusing on, how compost/organic matter can improve growth and sustainability.
